Our Vision Statement

"Through the cross of Jesus Christ, God is calling Calvary Lutheran Church to intentionally reach out and invite all people, nuture their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ, and send them to live a faithful and fruitful life of witness and service."

Prayer is important to us at Calvary. If you have a request let us know about so we can be in prayer about it. Request prayer.

“The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God” (Mark 1:1)

We begin another Lenten journey Ash Wednesday, February 18th. Lent is the 40-day period from Ash Wednesday to Easter that allows us intentional time to anchor ourselves in scripture, prayer, and worship. It is a time to deepen our understanding of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection. It is a time of renewal and recommitment to the certainties of our Christian faith.

We will gather each Wednesday evening using Holden Evening Prayer. Discipleship Under the Cross is this year’s preaching theme. We will center ourselves in the Gospel of Mark which is the focus of the ELCA National Youth Gathering this summer. We will join with our young people who are preparing for this experience and explore what it looks like to be disciples of Jesus living out our baptismal promises in daily life!
