Calvary welcomes our new Pastor of Family Ministries, Stephanie McCarthy

I am a recent graduate of Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA.

I originally hail from Wisconsin and attended St. Norbert College in DePere, WI, where I earned my teaching degree. I am married to Seth Novak, who is also a new pastor in the synod. My experience in ministries includes a year of youth ministries, two summers with
Youthworks (summer mission trip group) and six months as leadership staff at an ELCA camp.

I am passionate about social justice, camping/ outdoor ministries, global issues and cross-generational ministries. I believe that building relationships with people is foundational to doing Christ-centered ministries and furthering the gospel. Whenever doing ministries, I do my best to bring energy, enthusiasm and optimism to the table, and always ask the question “what is God up to?”

Pastor Stephanie will begin at Calvary January 1, 2012 and will be installed at all services the weekend of January 28 & 29.
